Shining Force EXA (シャイニング・フォース イクサ, Shainingu Fōsu Ikusa) is an action role-playing game developed by Neverland and published by Sega for the Sony PlayStation 2 in Japan on January 18, 2007, in Korea on February 15, 2007, and in North America on March 20, 2007.

The game uses the same engine as Shining Force Neo and repurposes many assets including maps, musical compositions, monsters, and weapons.

An art book, Shining Force EXA Design Works, was published containing concept art by pako, 3D models by Flight Unit, and interviews with artists and developers. The book also contains a short story written by the game's scenario writer Takashi Hino titled The Gold Coin Tossed Up.

The game received a novelization titled Shining Force EXA Volume 1: Dark Stirrings by author Chabo Higurashi; however, a follow-up novel was never written and leaves the story incomplete.

Several other works following the characters of EXA were produced. A prequel novel titled Heartbeat of Dawn: The Dawning of a New Age, written by the game's scenario writer Takashi Hino, was available in Japan for those who preordered the game or who bought the game while stores still had copies. A sequel story in the form of a drama CD was written by Chabo Higurashi and published by 5pb. An anthology of comics written and illustrated by various artists was published by Kadokawa. A mobile phone game was produced with a new story based around the characters entering a new world and losing their memories.
