The Shining Lore & Translation Wiki is maintained by a small number of dedicated contributors who view the Shining series and its artists through the lens of enthusiastic fandom. Though the wiki's editors make every effort to record only information that can be verified, it is always possible for us to be totally wrong about something, and though we may take our work seriously, we recommend that others do not. While articles not marked as editorials are not usually trying to be funny, it is not uncommon for our work to reflect a mildly satirical slant.

At the heart of our efforts is the desire to stimulate the minds of our readers by encouraging a closer reading of these games, and our work is motivated by this love of shared learning and the preservation and appreciation of art. The wiki's only profit is in the mutual enrichment of our minds and of our spirits.
