Metaphaluna

Metaphaluna (メタファルナ,[1] Metafaruna; 前世紀,[1] zensēki, "last century, ancient times") is a civilization or historical age referenced by Dark Sol in Doom Blade. It is associated with the Star Eyes and the Ancients of Rune.
Translation Notes
"Metaphaluna" is a probable construction of "Metaphor" (メタファー, Metafā), the name used for the land of the Ancients in Shining Force, and Luna (ルナ, Runa), i.e., Latin "Lūna" (Moon). The continent named Rune (ルーン, Rūn) in the English localization of Shining Force is given as "Lune" in Japanese materials, and a connection between Metaphaluna and Rune strengthens the evidence for the "Lune" spelling as a reference to Luna rather than the more obvious "rune", i.e., runic alphabets.
In Doom Blade, Yoshitaka Tamaki writes out Metaphaluna in katakana (メタファルナ) as a gikun reading for a term given in kanji (
