Hudol
The Hudols (ヒュードル,[1] Hyūdoru, EN: Vandal) are a classification of being found in Shining Force III.
Translations
The original Japanese term ヒュードル (hyūdoru) appears to be an invented word of uncertain origin. It may be a combination of the first syllable in ヒューマン (hyūman, "human") with an unidentified word ending ドル (doru) to evoke the sense of a modified human. A possible presentation of this in English might be "Hudol". More research is needed to determine the intent behind the original Japanese.
It is not known why the English localizers chose the word "Vandal", an existing word in English.
