Waldor
Waldor (ウォルドル, Worudoru, EN: Woldol) is a grand cleric (大神官, daishinkan) of Cypress who first appears as the primary antagonist of Shining Force Gaiden.
Story
The following text excerpted from the Japanese instruction manual for Shining Force CD, a game which adapts Shining Force Gaiden and Gaiden II with additional chapters.[1]
Waldor (ウォルドル)
A wicked cleric (神官, shinkan) who worships an evil god. Plots to rule Guardiana.
邪神を崇拝する悪しき神官。ガーディアナの支配を目論む。
Prologue
It happened one day that Grand Cleric Waldor (大神官ウォルドル, Daishinkan Worudoru) traveled as an ambassador for friendship from the southern military state of Cypress to the continent of Rune. He had come bearing a gift from King Cypress to present to Queen Anri. But as Queen Anri opened the box, she was cast into an eternal slumber by some spell. It had all been a trap lain by Cypress!
そんなある日、ルーン大陸の南方に位置する軍事国家サイプレスから、大神官ウォルドルが友好の使者として来訪した。そして、サイプレス王からの贈り物である小箱を、アンリ女王に手渡したのである。だが、それを開けたアンリ女王は、魔法で永遠の眠りについてしまう。すべてはサイプレスの罠だった！
